Whilst finally the completed rendered out underwater scene finished in just over an hour and now before some get onto their feet and yelp "heh that's not fast enough".  We have to pull on the reins very quickly and stop and reflect.   This is only a 2.4GHz CPU.  The CPU’s used today although lower in performance also have a much lower TDP.  On a performance check ratio the CPUs, Supermicro's Mainboard and AMD's Istanbul CPU's have performed very well indeed and into the bargain, saving some more of that precious power.
